These of course would be the more dramatic ways of leading the storyline to its ultimate conclusion, rather than just outright informing the parents. Of course, Done wrong, it could become as flat and stu[pid as the Ben 10 alien force episode where his parents find out about the omnitrix (eyerolls all around) done right you get more readers.
