Are you into Cult or artistic movies? Or you watch only movies for fun? (or maybe both :P )
Also, what’s your favorite kind of movie?

I like all kinds of movies, as long as they’re enjoyable and fun. My favorite kind of movie, is probably comedies.

Haha, good one. ;) These days whenever I hear Sonny and Cher singing “I Got You Baby” it reminds me of this movie.

Now that Blizzard announced that the guy who did the Evil Dead series will direct the WoW movie, who do you think which actor/actress will get the lead role (it could be one or the other)? Also, this an opinion question, do you think that the WoW movie should be live action or CGI?

Reply

Mouse Reply:

I think this movie shouldn’t be made. It’ll probably be live action with way too much CGI, and I have no idea who should get the lead role. I guess it depends on who the lead role is, or if there even is a lead role.

Not to mention the director also did the Spider-man movies, much easier to distinguish who he is that way.

As long as Bruce Camble(Lead in the Evil Dead Series) gets a cameo…I’ll at least watch it on DVD :D

1. If you could have any game made into a movie, what would it be?
2. Do you think Blizzard should make a StarCraft movie?
3. Do you think Lucas Art should make a Monkey Island movie?

1. Tough one, video game movies don’t tend to do very well. If anything, though, it’d have to be a movie that already has such a deep and interesting plot so that they can’t mess with it too much. Something like “The Dig” would probably be good. But then again, most of the game is just wandering around. I haven’t read the novel yet, but perhaps using the novel adaptation, of the game, to make a movie, would turn out halfway decent.
2. No.
3. No.

I agree video game movies seem never to be good. Some video games are just impossible to make in to movies. half life wouldn’t work because the hero doesn’t talk, and same with link in the zelda games. The only good movies ive seen from games are final fantasy and resident evil

Why do you think a StarCraft movie would be bad? I’m sure you’ve seen at least one of the introduction videos they’ve made for the newer game, and the plot of the original was very engaging.

Mouse Reply:

Video games can get away with a lot of stuff that movies cannot. It might be good, it might not. I doubt Blizzard would have much of a hand in the making of the movie, and therefore it’d be pretty bad, especially if some Hollywood writer decides to change it into a remake of Aliens or something.

You did remind me though, the only video game movie that would be any good is Team Fortress 2. But only if it was done by Valve themselves. They’ve been excelling at the “Meet the Team” videos, I think they could make up a story and animate it, and put it in theaters and it’d do well.

What about Tron? They’re making a new Tron movie, and it looks fantastic. My movie instincts have only failed me once, and that was Twilight.

Mouse Reply:

The first Tron couldn’t keep my attention. If it’s a faithful sequel, then I doubt the new one will hold my attention either. I can’t imagine being too interested in it either way though.

However, after hearing that they’re making a movie based off inFamous I might be interested in seeing that one… they’re also making an Uncharted movie, that could be good. I’m pretty tentative about either of them actually being decent though.

Mouse Reply:

Yep, I saw it. I enjoyed the eye candy, but was somewhat disappointed with the overall plot. I’m debating picking up Advent Children Complete, just to see if that’s any better.

A director’s cut of Advent Children basically, adds more footage and such.

Godzilla. That answers both questions. Any Godzilla movie… I’d wanna be Godzilla, stomping through the cities, knocking buildings over, crushing cars. Raaaaaaaaaaaawr*squeak*.

Ah, yes, movies are fun. ^^ Though, I don’t see many outside of the animated ones. Actually have a couple of questions though.

1. Do you usually like the book or the movie better, if you’ve ever seen a movie based off a book you read? { And do you usually see the movie then read, or read then see the movie…?}

2. What was your favorite animated movie? Mine was either Treasure Planet or the Kung Foo Panda one. Treasure planet was amazing… And a really interesting adaption of Treasure Island…

3. Who was your favorite character in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy? i know you responded that you liked them, but…. ^^

4. Same, but different. What was your favorite scene in the POTC trilogy?

5. And finally, The last one I can think of is this. What was the best scene of ANY movie you’ve watched?

Thanks for taking the time to answer. ^^

1. I tend to read before seeing the movie, which is almost always a major disappointment. I don’t think I’ve ever done it the other way around. I tend to like the book more though, primarily the book Holes. That’s so much better than the movie.

2. Wall-E. I just found that movie so stunning.

3. Captain Jack Sparrow! Barbossa’s a close second, and just baaarely behind that is a tie between Captain Norrington and Elizabeth Swann, but those two only in the second film.

4. I think my favorite scene is all the stuff with Captain Jack Sparrow trying to escape the cannibals in the second film. I think it’s so expertly done with the humor and the thrill of will he escape and everything. And he’s tied to a pole for the first half of it! Second best is probably the whole fight for the key in the second film, especially the sword fight on the water wheel.

5. Best scene in any movie! Yeesh… That’s so broad. Um, I think many scenes that are my favorite would be spoilers, so I’m gonna refrain from answering!

Mystery Science Theater 3000, have you seen it?

If so, do you have a favorite?

If not, WATCH IT! it’s funny XD (I recommend Pod People and Space Mutiny.)

Of course I have! My favorite episode is “Squirm” but “Puma Man” is a close second.

Now adays I try to get by with the lack of MST3K by watching Rifftrax.
