#120 – S-so Many Words! What Do They All Mean?!

I think we’ve all had teachers like this. Or professors.

College classes are soooo boring. :(

I think the Professor still has a little bit to learn about teaching. :P

I hope everyone’s weekend went well! Mine went about as expected with a house full of family, lol. Back to everything I’ve been putting aside this whole time anyway. Ah well. XP

Finally! Something I can say “Yup! I’ve seen that sorta thing!” to! X3 Sorta. I had a creative writing teacher in college that was..well..not great. x3 Granted I didn’t mind the class as much as some other students(Some people took huge umbrage with her, apparently) but she still wasn’t a very good teacher.. x3

The new teacher look interesting. By the way, interesting fact, “Falda” in spanish means “skirt”, so it sound like proffesor skirt :P

I’m assuming from his name that he may know that. This seems like a class everyone will bomb or there will be a high curve. I remember a professor (Mathematical Economics) who would give us his notes, online textbook, our own purchased textbook, our notes, and his homework for his class. The test was open book and really hard. I mean it was legendary. I came really close to getting a perfect score on one question but he docked me two points because I didn’t explain to him that the exponent [1/(α - β)] had to be a positive number and that α – β couldn’t equal zero. I questioned him on that cause it wasn’t fair.

    I had a somewhat similar teacher once…

When the course(In operating systems design) began, he was off climbing mount Everest…
He didn’t return until a month of the semester had gone by, and only THEN did he tell the bookstore which book he would be using(incidentally, the same he had used the last few years), so they couldn’t order it until then.
Which meant another two weeks was wasted before the books arrived.

Then he spent the rest of the semester standing by the blackboard mostly reading from the book.

I became good at origami that semester…

this is all far to elementary for my taste and I require a higher learning dynamic so that I may reach my full learning potential my good sir. X3 *snortysnortysnood*

I like science. SCIENCE! Like that time i think weds day update 26 with Freeman’s mind and hes like F = GMm/R2 is Child’s play. As stated by him “i can recite the quantum kronodynamic age invariant Lagrangian” i had to watch that clip about 8 times to get what he said.

Meh, the notion of virtual particles mediating static forces comes from perturbation theory. If there is one thing we know about quantum gravity, it’s that the usual way of doing perturbation theory doesn’t work.

    Um… too close to home.

As someone who’s taught math this is just too close to home, because I’VE SEEN CRAPPY COLLEAGUES like this.

    Run FW.. RUN!!!!

Usually in this kind of story, exactly one of the characters will actually understand, and it will either be the dumbest one, or the craziest. Going by Damien’s nonplussed expression, I’m guessing it’s going to be Kyle.
