#158 – Think of a Platter Hitting the Floor
…Because that’s what the goat sounds like falling over. 
Hope everyone had a great week! Mine was busy as usual, lol. This does remind me though, how -do- they come up with the sounds for things in sound studios? Especially for cartoons? If something is happening on-screen that could never happen in real life, how would you even start to figure out what the sound for that would be?

This actually reminds me of a College Humor video I saw “In a world…where guns don’t make the noises they usually do…” and the whole clip was of guys just running in slo-mo and jumping around corners and whenever they fired the gun would make adorable kitty noises, bubbles, baby giggles, etc etc.

They stole that from Timesplitters! It had a ‘cheat’ where you could change the weapon sounds to all sorts of silly things.

well, as long as we don’t have to worry about billy attempting suicide out of fear like an ostrich I think we’re good.
