#56 – Not So Fast Friends

Whew! Looooooong day, apologies for the slight lateness!

I thought this comic pretty much speaks for itself. FW and Damien decide to walk to school, and apparently have a nice, long conversation about, uh, stuff (Disney movies? Popcorn? Gravity? Who knows!), and, well…They may have walked at too leisurely a pace.

Things of note: New banner uptop! Just in case no one noticed. And thanks again to everyone who’s been voting, visiting the site, and just commenting and reading the comics. All of you are just great, and keep me motivated and wanting to work on it!

One last thing! FW! Adventures’ ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY is on Sunday, March 29th! Oh boy! There’s gonna be cake and streamers and hats but I can’t give any of that to you guys so you’ll just have to imagine. Or make your own! I’d love to see pictures of hats everyone had made, lol. XD

On a side note, I LIKE this comic, even with “Impending doom” looming over the last panel, it’s really the only time I’ve seen FW smile the ENTIRE comic, and, in general, be happy.

Sure, it may not be as “Funny,” as the others, but hey, I can deal

…Is it really the only time? XD He was kinda happy when he met Bee, though that was more embarrassed than anything.

Honestly I meant for him to not look very happy for most of the beginning of the comic. He wasn’t very happy, he’d just moved from some other place to get a “new beginning,” so maybe something happened there that he’d rather forget? No worries though, from here on out things start to get much more cheerful I think.

Yea, with Bee, that was an “awkward/embarrassed” happy, this is “Genuine” happy.

Hehe, I should’ve asked people what they thought they were talking about, like some sort of “fill in the blank” type of thing.

Aww! He looks so happy for once! It’s cute… I think I commented on the banner before, but I really like how FW is the only focused thing.

Thanks, I’m glad you liked it! And he is sort of the focus of the comic, so it’d make sense that he’d be in focus on the banner, huh?

Haha, but no one’s pointed it out before! I’m not sure where I picked that up from (probably some anime somewhere), but I always draw closed eyes like that now (for this style at least). Its just cuter I think?

Thanks! I’ve always wanted to try a comic without dialogue, to see if the actions and expressions of the characters can convey what I wanted to show. It seems like I succeeded!
